As the warm breeze of May sweeps in, we are thrilled to welcome this beautiful month full of new opportunities for growth, learning, and fun at Akira Academy Daycare and Preschool. This month, we have a lot of exciting activities and events planned that will engage our young learners and create cherished memories.

Celebrating Our Achievements

We are proud to announce that Akira Academy has achieved Keystone STARS 4 status and is now nationally accredited! This recognition reflects our commitment to providing the highest quality education and care for your children. We are also excited to share that we are now a proud Pre-K Counts partner, offering free pre-K to qualifying families. This partnership will enable us to reach more families and provide exceptional early childhood education.

Special Events in May

Mother's Day Celebration

In honor of Mother's Day, we will be hosting a special event on Friday, May 10th. The children have been working on lovely crafts and surprises to show their appreciation for their wonderful mothers. We invite all mothers to join us for a delightful morning filled with joy and gratitude.

#### Outdoor Adventures

With the weather warming up, our outdoor play area will be buzzing with activity. We have planned various outdoor learning experiences, including nature walks, gardening, and physical activities that promote health and wellness. These activities not only provide fresh air and exercise but also encourage curiosity and exploration.

Book Fair Success

Thank you to all the parents and families who supported our recent book fair. Your generosity and enthusiasm made it a tremendous success! The funds raised will go towards enriching our classroom libraries and providing new learning materials for our children. We are grateful for your kindness and support.

Educational Focus

This month, our educational themes will revolve around spring and growth. The children will engage in activities and projects that explore the life cycles of plants and animals, the changing seasons, and the importance of nature. These hands-on experiences will foster a love for learning and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Classroom Highlights

- Infants: Our little ones will enjoy sensory activities that stimulate their senses and promote cognitive development. We will explore different textures, colors, and sounds through interactive play.

- Toddlers: The older toddlers will dive into simple science experiments and nature-themed crafts. They will also participate in group activities that encourage social skills and cooperation.

- Preschoolers: The preschool class will take on more complex projects, such as planting seeds and observing their growth, learning about insects, and creating detailed artwork inspired by nature.

With weekly themes such as science, sports, and cooking, our camp will provide a fun and educational experience for all participants. Registration is now open, and we encourage you to sign up soon as spaces are limited.
