March into Learning and Fun at Akira Academy!

Spring is on the horizon, and we’re ready for an exciting and enriching month at Akira Academy! March is packed with engaging activities, special events, and opportunities for our children to learn and grow. From celebrating literacy to exploring new cultures and enjoying friendly competition, there’s something for everyone!

📚 Read Across America – March 3rd-7th

We’re kicking off the month with Read Across America as we celebrate the joy of reading. Throughout the week, we’ll highlight classic Dr. Seuss stories, invite special guest readers, and encourage our young learners to dive into the magical world of books.

🎭 Mardi Gras Celebration – March 4th

Get ready for a festive Mardi Gras experience! The children will enjoy music, crafts, and a taste of New Orleans culture. We encourage everyone to wear purple, green, and gold to add to the fun!

📸 Picture Day – March 25th

It’s time to capture those precious memories! Please have your child arrive dressed for pictures, and they may bring a change of comfortable clothes for the rest of the day.

🏀 March Madness – March 24th-28th

We’re bringing the excitement of March Madness to Akira Academy! Our version of this fun competition will combine academics and basketball. Students will participate in a week-long bracket-style challenge, earning points through learning activities and a basketball shootout. No uniforms are required this week—dress comfortably for fun and learning!

👩‍🍳 Cooking with Akira – March 21st

Join us for a hands-on experience as we whip up simple, delicious dishes with the children. A sign-up sheet will be available for parents who would like to participate!

🎩 Silly Socks & Crazy Hats – March 7th

Let’s get silly! We’re inviting children to wear their wackiest socks or hats for a day of fun and creativity.

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day – March 17th

Wear green as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with themed crafts, games, and a little bit of luck!

🤝 Parent-Teacher Conferences – March 11th-13th

Mark your calendars! Parent-teacher conferences will take place this month. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and set goals for the rest of the school year.
