February is here, and at Akira Academy, we’re embracing a month full of learning, love, and giving back! With Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, and our Kindness Event there’s so much for our students and families to look forward to.

Celebrating Black History Month 📚✊🏾

At Akira Academy, we believe in teaching our students about diversity, history, and the incredible contributions of Black leaders, inventors, and changemakers. Throughout February, our classrooms will be exploring:
✅ Influential Black Leaders – Learning about heroes like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and Mae Jemison.
✅ Story Time with Black Authors – Featuring books written by amazing Black authors, fostering representation and cultural pride.
✅ Art & Music Appreciation – Creating art inspired by Black artists and dancing to music from different genres, from jazz to hip-hop!

Spreading Love on Valentine’s Day! ❤️💌

On February 14th, we’ll celebrate Valentine’s Day with fun, friendship, and kindness! Our little learners will enjoy:
💘 Valentine’s card exchanges – Encouraging kindness and friendship.
🎨 Heart-themed crafts – Fun activities to spark creativity!
🍓 Healthy treats – A balance of fun and nutrition!

Kindness Event: Giving Back to Our Community 🤝💙

This month, we’re also focusing on teaching kindness and generosity through our Kindness Event! We invite all families to participate by donating non-perishable food items to help those in need.

All donations will go to a local charity to support families in our community. Let’s teach our children the joy of giving and make a difference together!
